Mary Schuldt was born in Storm Lake, Iowa, and grew up on a farm close to Alta, Iowa. She had an early interest in music as she started piano lessons at age four. She began playing organ for her home church when she was in seventh grade.
Mary received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and music from Concordia College, St. Paul, where she studied organ with Dr. Paul Manz. She has held various church music position and has been an organ recitalist in local AGO sponsored events. Mary has been the accompanist for the Mankato Children's Chorus since 1999, having toured with the group to the Boston and Washington, D.C., areas. She has accompanied the Mankato West high school choirs for the past eleven years and is a frequent choral and instrumental accompanist for area musicians. She also gives private instruction for both piano and organ students.
Mary has served St. John's Episcopal Church as organist since 2001. She and her husband, Doug, have four children, Erika, Kristine, Todd, and Michael. Mary enjoys reading, gardening, and keeping up with the two family dogs, Bailey and Carter.
